The Group Company Spotlight

Engineering India’s Journey Towards Clean, Connected Mobility

JBM Group is one of India’s diversified engineering and mobility conglomerates, with a presence spanning automotive systems and components, electric and e-mobility solutions, and renewable energy. From its roots in precision manufacturing, the Group has evolved into an integrated clean-mobility powerhouse — designing, building and operating the vehicles, the charging ecosystem and the green energy that powers them.

Today, JBM partners with leading automakers, cities and transport operators across India and a growing list of international markets, bringing together deep engineering expertise and a clear vision for a sustainable future.

E-Mobility October 2026

200 Million Electric Kilometres — and Counting

JBM’s electric buses have collectively travelled more than 200 million zero-emission kilometres on Indian roads — a milestone that reflects one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing e-bus programmes.

Having entered the electric bus space in 2018, the Group has deployed over 3,500 electric buses to date and carries an order book of more than 10,000 buses, among the strongest in the industry. In the first half of FY2026–27, JBM accounted for roughly a quarter of India’s electric-bus registrations — underlining its position at the forefront of the nation’s public-transport electrification.

Meet the Fleet: GALAXY, CITYLIFE and the Road Ahead

Innovation sits at the heart of JBM’s mobility story. The Group pioneered CITYLIFE, among India’s first low-floor city buses, and introduced ECOLIFE, its 100% electric bus platform, as part of its drive to decarbonise urban transport.

More recently, JBM unveiled new variants of its GALAXY electric intercity coach — including sleeper and sleeper-seater configurations — bringing comfort, safety and zero-emission travel to long-distance journeys. Every vehicle is engineered to be smart, safe and sustainable, built around advanced telematics and passenger-first design.

Global 2025–26

From India to the World: JBM on the Global Stage

JBM’s clean-mobility ambitions reach well beyond India. The Group showcased its new European electric bus at the UITP Summit in Hamburg in 2025 — an important step in its international journey.

With a footprint extending across Europe, the Gulf, Africa, Singapore and other markets in the Asia-Pacific region, JBM is positioning itself as a global partner for sustainable public transport — exporting not just vehicles, but complete mobility and energy solutions.

Sustainability 2026

The Road to Net-Zero by 2040

Sustainability is embedded in how JBM does business. The Group has committed to becoming Net-Zero by 2040, with an ESG agenda built around green mobility, the EV ecosystem, renewable energy, waste management and social impact.

Through JBM Enviro, it operates across waste-to-energy, renewable energy and battery energy-storage systems — including a waste-to-power facility in the Sonepat–Panipat cluster and compressed bio-gas plants being developed under the Government of India’s SATAT initiative. The Group’s progress is transparently tracked through its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reports (BRSR).

Social Impact November 2025

Beyond Business: Creating Impact through the Neel Foundation

For JBM, progress is measured not only in kilometres and components, but in lives touched. Through the Neel Foundation, the Group drives social initiatives across education, health and cleanliness.

Its education programmes have reached more than four million students across 6,000 government schools and 575 Navodaya Vidyalayas; its health outreach includes over 50 health camps and more than 100 blood-donation camps; and its cleanliness drives have spanned 57 villages, educating over 1.5 million families on waste segregation. Most recently, the Group’s ‘Sarvotkarsh’ programme brought cervical-cancer screening, blood donation and wheelchair distribution to communities around Pune.
